Heading up to text a Monday. Was planning on using live bait and sassies around wind blown points from the state park to little mineral. Anyone have any pointers or suggestions? I will be in a green/grey skeeter. Would be cool to meet some people from the forum smile

Most of the fish are moving North and West.

Would you recommend drifting shad weightless around the rocks? Or weigh them down

Hit the lake around 9 with guide Jay Staley. Windy as hell and only hooked up a couple small stripers. Moved a few more times and landed a 30" beauty, but still windy and slow. Jay kept telling us to hold on and stay with him, and boy were we glad we did! The fish turned on exactly when and where he said they would, and it was non stop action on all rods for about 30 minutes. When they stopped he moved us right on top of them again and game on! Ended up with 37 stripers, a few sandbass, a couple cats, and 1 crappie. Jay worked hard to get us on some fish till the bite was on. Www.stayleyadventures@yahoo.com. 469-471-6335. Recommended!
