Ive seen several posts where anglers use dead red, what are the benefits using this? Do you use it on fresh bait or bait thats been frozen? Does it work?

I personally haven't noticed a difference in using it or not

I've had days where it made the trip. I'll run half regular and half dead red. If one gets more action than the other I'll go with what they want that day.

I watched chad fergusons video on dead red and it was pretty informative, i could see where it might help on older or frozen bait

+1 i always have a bottle or two handy. If I put a fish in the boat and it still has the bait I'll put a shot or two on it and send it back out.

I too read what Chad said as to his experiments on Dead Red Blood Spray. Chad does experimenting/testing in the same way I would. He tries it on certain things in certain conditions, compares & logs down all the results & gives a fair & unbiased assessment from the actual results compiled.

One Catfisherman who runs juglines & uses the Catfish Calendar has had extremely good catches with it (Dead Red) on chicken breast, turkey breast, and wieners. Enough to tempt me to try it. I might even try it on Cheetos (the soft kind or generic brands) as well, as you know Cats like "cheesy" smells too.

The first time I put shad out I do not use it, but if I move or reel in to check my bait after a while I will spray it.

I have used it and can't see a difference, but ill keep experimenting with it maybe something will change. It's inexpensive so it can't hurt to try it!

I will use it to freshen up shad, but if I'm using drum, carp, buff I will put it on from the start. Seems to me it does make a difference on bigger, fleshy baits.
