Low stocking rates, fishing pressure, and spotted bass

I have been there several days the last 2 mos. and have not see or talked to anyone that was doing well. I have not seen more than 5or 6 boats there during the week and 20-25 on the weekend. I remember the good old days and want them back.

Was out there last Sunday and there were only about 6-7 trailers in the lot at 11 am when we launched, only one when we loaded at 5:30pm, and he loaded up while we were prepping for the road.

No fish is too good for the grease.

I was out there two weeks ago for three days... Water temps still too cold, caught 5 or 6 spots real shallow on the dam and all the blacks came out of 25ft of water or deeper... The guys I talked to weren't lying when they said the largemouth were stacked up in the channels.

I don't know how true this is but I've been told that spots are just as bad as whites, as in they feed constantly and over time take away from the forage of other species... In my neck of the woods we don't have any spots and from what I learned of them they are super aggressive....on top of that the fishing pressure and pleasure boaters all over that lake throughout the spring and summer can really put a damper on the fishing

That is what I have found, but I can remember when good fish were being caught all the time. Now it is seldom that even a 5 lber is caught.

I can remember a few years ago when there were numerous pissing matches on here about whether Alan Henry was a better trophy lake than Fork...

Looks like fork wins!

Biden famously said in the New York Observer, โ€œI mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, thatโ€™s a storybook, man.โ€
