Which spot would probably be better to try, pierce marsh or sportsman road, or another spot anyone recommend? Hitting it hopefully by 9am with my brother for the first time in our yaks!
Fishing is the chance to wash one's soul with pure air. It brings meekness and inspiration, reduces our egoism, soothes our troubles and shames our wickedness. It is discipline in the equality of men--for all men are equal before fish

Hitting it hopefully by 9am with my brother for the first time in our yaks! .....with the winds we have been having lately and the low water levels for a good protected area that is holding some pretty nice fish I would also suggest Dickinson Bayou. You can launch at the boat launch on HWY 3 and head either down the Bayou or up and catch some nice Reds and Specks.
...so good it tastes like it died screaming!
