You can buy crappies in the supermarkets in Wisconsin. Very expensive and includes the head still attached when they weigh them.

FAQ from their web site:

Q: Where do the fish come from?
A: Most of our walleye, lake perch, bluegill, northern pike, lake trout and crappie are wild caught in pristine northern lakes of Canada by Native Americans using sustainable harvesting practices. Canada's lakes are well managed, unpolluted, and have an abundance of freshwater fish. Rainbow trout are farm-raised in Idaho or Canada. Lutefisk is different, (our only seafood) and comes from North Atlantic cod in Norway.

I'm not positive but, I believe Native Americans can catch and sell game fish...I could be wrong???

If so, I have some fresh frozen crappie for sale!!!

Im not into selling them but wow on the price their asking. Its cheaper to go to the lake and catch em yourself.Even with the gas prices.

Add in the price of a lake house and boat and they don't sound so expensive. But catching them is priceless.
