I've got 12 years left to think about it, and then I sell everything and move to a lake house, with a nice dock and enjoy life, so keep making suggestions it keeps thinking and dreaming

Cedar creek is where we call home, great fishing for all, way above average for crappie. Fishing during the week, golf and gardening on the weekend after Memorial Day thru Labor Day, then empty. Love to shoot docks and have just a few to choose from.

Im sure cedar creek is awesome. I'd love to give it a try someday.
My pick is LBJ. Constant level, plenty of docks, good cover,& most importantly....I live 5 miles away!

Fork is an awesome fishery... I just don't see how you guys put up with the boat traffic.... hmmm

The bass guys treat that lake like a playground, running from one end to the other and back as many times as possible before 3rd period starts. bang rolfmao

No way, Bud. Just seeing whet everyone thought. Maybe in 25 years or so.

I would buy a lot on gladewater lake. Its small but has an awesome crappie population and isnt crowded. Plus your 20min from longview and 20 from tyler. Fork, Pines are less than an hour away also. The lots arent overly pricey and there are some beautiful homesteads out there.

Guess I have to say Toledo Bend, it's huge and a beautiful area since all this National Forrest is around for hunting or what ever you want. Plus l live only about 25 mile from Sam Rayburn if I want to go over there. I love the area I live in right now and we catch our fair share of big crappie. Heck I have fished this lake since it opened in the late 1960's and never fished the North 60 miles of this lake. I have fished from the dam to about where the main lake narrows. The Texas side of the South end has these 3 huge fingers, like 6 Mile, Housen Bayou and Mill Creek and all of them offer great fishing. 6 Mile where I live is almost 1 mile wide and I am 5 miles from the main lake. I never have to hit the big water when the wind is blowing.
