Wanting to get Navionics Hot Maps Platinum card for my new Humminbird unit. Anyone know what the newest version is? Will there be a newer 2013 coming out this year?

There is no new annual version anymore.
You buy one and update it on-line to keep it current.
Your purchase includes a year of updates. You can update everyday if you want to.

There is no new annual version anymore.
You buy one and update it on-line to keep it current.
Your purchase includes a year of updates. You can update everyday if you want to. Thanks! That gives me the okay to pick one up this weekend!

Thanks Wayne, I stand corrected. The free Navionics Sonar Charts feature will be a feature for those who purchase the Platinum - $199 chip or the new Nav+ chip that will be coming out soon.

What unit are you running. I never could get any of my sonar logs to upload and show up from my HB 998c on version 6.49
It sounds like a cool feature, just couldn't make it work for me.

It sounds like a cool feature, just couldn't make it work for me. What are you referring to "sonar logs"? When you are recording, you can play that back on the unit and it is just like playing back the Simulator. All software version do that equally well. They do not "upload" they are read directly from your memory card where that data is written to.

I was referring to the Navionics "Sonar Chart" feature.. where you can upload the saved sonar logs and it will go on the chart somehow to make it more accurate. Never got it to work for me.

It is not an active program yet and will only work with the Platinum editions.

It will be VIEWABLE on the Fish/FishnChip layer of the Platinum products. It is the new incarnation of that fishing chart data - now able to be augmented on a daily basis by sonar data submissions from the community as well.
