I have a 1991 Evinrude 150 XP and I need the carbs overhauled ( or at least cleaned and resealed ) The engine is running and at higher RPMS it does fine however at idel it wants to die so I have to choke it to keep it running .

Please give me a cost and time frame to do this . I am in the DFW area

Not sure how much this will help you but I have a Yamaha 70HP with 3 Carbs. I was quoted $450 to have them cleaned / rebuilt. While boat shopping I took a look at a Javelin with a 200HP that had recently had the carbs serviced and the owner said it cost him $750. While researching that particular boat I spoke with the shop that did the carb work and they verifed the work and price. I would think a 150hp would fall somewhere within that range unless prices have increased since last year.

It sounds like your carbs may need over hauled here we would charge 380 plus parts and the kits for that motor run around 90 dollies for the three kits
