Went out this afternoon to take advantage of dcent conditions..water temp averaged 54 degrees. Strictly used minnows and got skunked. Plenty of fish on my fish finder but nothin. Saw one kayaker and a few on the banks. They had the same unluckiness. Water level was better since last time I went about a month ago.

Sounds like you have a fish finder... how deep is the creek? Average depth?

Fishluvme...once I got into the creek a little bit I was averaging bout 10 feet. Some places deeper than others but that was about the average I was in.

BTW, where do you get minnows around here? The only place I know of is up near Lake Arlington at a convenience store.

Great to hear txbubba...go to Lynn creek marina for minnows. I live down the street from there. They just opened up a cut thru road from lake ridge parkway to 360 so it will b convenient to go to loyd park from there. The marina used to b open 24 hours but not anymore. They open at 6am. Let me know if u need directions.

Good to know! I use that cut thru on my way home from work every day. I didn't even think of the marina... I've actually never been in there.

They have a fishing barge there as well...never tried that though. Seen mixed reviews on that here on TFF. I prefer hitting the water! Let me know when u hit walnut creek and hopefully my schedule will allow!
