if you can proceed to your spot before official start, how is that not hole sitting? I think you are saying it is OK to proceed to first spot after registration and just wait for 7 am. however, then I'm not sure what hole sitting is.

hole sitting is when you have someone else sit on your spot that isnt in the tournament. I have seen it happen a few times during basschamps at Ray Roberts.
