The pelican has little scupper holes, the cord probably didn't fit

The connector for the ff display wouldnt go through the scupper hole. If it fits through yours, I would definitely go that direction.

That set up would be great to carry with you if you rent a yak at the coast just figure out a multi use head mount.

I have plumbers putty, is that the same thing? I was going to use it to build a wall to keep the goop in place, but I could use it instead of goop...

I'm holding off on this until Sunday or Tuesday. I thought the goop would dry by Saturday if I did it last night, but everyone is saying 3-4 days.

I also suggest using the electrical putty. Less risk.. It sticks great and no worries about getting air bubbles in it. Plus you can remove it in the future.

Again, is that the same as "Plumber's Putty"? I bought some of that last night. Would it be dry and ready in 8-10 hours?

Yes but I'd rather fish blind one more weekend than rush the rig and screw it up or have to redo it later.

Not sure about plumbers putty but electricians putty is a brick wrapped in while plastic they have it in the electric dept at home depot. Its doesn't dry. You can push your transducer into then stick it inside your yak using the one had you can get in there. Not a problem. You could do it 10 minutes before taking it out fishing. That's the cool thing about the putty. No drying or setup time. With that being said id do it through the supper with crossbones redneck mount. What fish finder are you using?

Huminbird Piranhamax 195c. I like this. I might go grab some puddy, I'm prepared for everything else. Got grommets for the hole for the cables, got my display mount for the Scotty mount, got my battery and case...
