Grew up in san angelo and always fished the lakes as a kid. There are some decent places to lake fish from the bank around there. Even the christoval river used to produce for me and its where I caught my first smallmouth. Things have changed over the last few years but Nasworthy had gotten better since they dredged the lake. Do you have a boat or just bank fish?

I'd like some info on this as well, whether it be areas to bank fish for bass on Nasworthy or local ponds. Thanks!

Lake Nasworthy will be your best bet. Tons of access. Middle Concho Park and the park near Spring Creek Marina offer lots of bank access. The area is clean and maintained. http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/fishboat/fish/recreational/lakes/nasworthy/access.phtmlIf you are feeling more adventurous, drive around Twin Buttes. The area is not clean and the lake is very low. As far as ponds go in San Angelo, there are not many that are public.

Fished middle concho park about 3-4 times in the last week. Nada. Have thrown spinners, buzz bait, lipless cranks, senkos...no luck. I like the area though, very well kept and beautiful trees
