Ok posted and asked once never got much of a reply. I live in the Balch Springs/ Seagoville area and was looking for some decent bank fishing areas. Not looking for your honey whole or nothing like that just somewhere I can Catch and release some nice bass. Please and Thank you for any help and tips as well on places and maybe some baits that work in those areas.

Bobby,
There's a link at the topic at the top of the bank fishing fourm called google texas fishing something....can't remember w/o jumping back and forth. That has helped me find tons of great fishing spots that are easily accessible from the bank. Hope that helps you out.

Looking at Google Earth, appears you are fairly close to the Trinity River bridge off of hwy 175? That whole stretch looks fishy to me. Might be worth a day trip to hike around and find your own honey hole. wink

Hey Jig-flipper there is a free web site (Net4U.com) that give you a list of lakes up to a distance of 200 miles. There are some lakes real close by that people don`t talk about on here because they try to keep them a secret. You should check it out.Hope this helps you.Welcome to the forum man! welcome

If you don't mind a drive try Purtis Creek State Park, it is a great little bass lake and my business partner, our kids and his wife have all broken double digits from the bank there. It is just past Cedar Creek.
