I haven't fished for a whole lot of years and would like to start up again.I live in the Carrollton area.I am thinking of starting back by bank fishing.Anyone know any decent places to start out?Thanks

i reside in carrollton myself and i head up to lake lewisville fishing barge quite often... great fishing off the points. look into the crappie section of the forum and there is a subject "LEWISVILLE FISHNING BARGE REPORT"... lots of great updates and tips.

There is a park that is right by the LL fishing barge. those rocks right by the barge hold some decent bass. also on the bank all the way down you can catch sandies!

What about that small lake up at josey and peters colony?Any fish in it?

 To TFF I just retired also. I usually fish Rowlett creek. I've just moved to Farmers Branch. I'd like to find someplaces to fish in this area also.

I wouldnt mess with the pond off josey and peters colony... two much brush usually in the way and not a decent fishing spot for bass or cats in IMO
