Those are top notch and i agree with one of the comments.. i dont think i would get past step 1 lol! ill just take a trip to BPS

A little update....These light are bright and look like theyre going to work good. I just need to get out and go fishing.

First problem : By wrapping the lights close together the lights will put off some heat. I turned the first one on for about 2 hr and it got hot. once it cooled down, i notice that the clear plastic had a few cracks in it. I fixed it and will not turn them on again unless there in the water.

Second problem: Didnt put enough weighs in them and it floats. I just added some weight to the bottom and got it to sink.

not when spaced properly CK but in a plastic tubing and from the sounds of it multiple tubes wrapped together heat will build eventually and once the heat gets going it doesn't stop... if they made florescents small enough he could go with those and be better but sadly they dont
