Ok I have a 45 lb MG hand bow mount on my 17' tracker right now and I am wanting to go to a foot controlled. My question is that the one on there now seams to be a little on the weak side I have a new battery so I know it's not that , so if I go with new 45 lb will it be the same or is the one I have now just wore out ? I have been looking for a wireless one and haven't really found that good of sales on them as of now but does anyone know of a place that is having a sale on them or at least a better price that academy , I would go to bass pro but right now I just don't have the time to go all the way up there. One last question will a 36 volt be stronger than a 24 volt ?

I would think a 24 v would be more than enough on a 17 ft boat. I have a 24 v 80lb on my 20 footer and can fish all day. If your upgrading I would recommend getting a 24 v system.

A 24v 70# will be just right. I wonder tho, what makes you think you want a foot control?
I have a foot control, and want to go to a hand, because of the lack of leg room, and the balance issue that comes with steering while standing (I probably should get a butt seat).
I don't know about the wireless, sounds good but so did the electric steering, but I've heard from more than 1 guy that it responds to slowly and that I would not like it.

Man it just seems like i spend more time messing with the TM than fishing with the hand control , i have a seat in the front and back so i dont think i would have to worry about leg room .I have heard the good and bad on the wireless ones so IDK if i will want to get one or not.

i understand kenneth. wireless does respond slightly slower than a cable steer. in the stumps, etc that could be a problem. lot's of positives too though. smaller, lighter, stronger mount. can be upgraded to i pilot auto pilot etc. silly things will track a contour line and you can set it up to go from way point to way point , or just tell it to stay put. and it'll do all the work for ya. and you just fish. lot's to think about with the power drive v2 and the terrova. if your computer savy and gps savy, these systems are awesome. p.s. I am not.. i'm old skewl.
