Falcon bass do fight good but what got me was how they bite. I've never been anywhere else where a bass will clamp down on your thumb like that. This year not so much but last year I had several mean ones.

Go to Falcon and then try and explain why there is NOT a relationship! Those fish are mean, fat, narley, gangsta and those are just the 3 lbers!!!! Physically there are NO Bass that compare to their strength, power and feriocity and that's after you get them in the boat!!!  ^ Lake Falcon

Go to Falcon and then try and explain why there is NOT a relationship! Those fish are mean, fat, narley, gangsta and those are just the 3 lbers!!!! Physically there are NO Bass that compare to their strength, power and feriocity and that's after you get them in the boat!!! ^ Lake Falcon WOW!!! What is that???? It looks like a freshwater Lobster! No wonder the fish down south have to be mean to compete to eat that thing. Looks like something from a SciFi mutant crawfish movie!!! I wonder if they sell those for South Texas CrawDad Boils????

Falcon fish eat a a lot of lost drug cargo and that's why they eat everything
They pull so hard and are so mean because they are mad bc they can't find more true

Oddly enough we found a Toad Frog under a bush at Speedy's Falcon Lake campsites that was as big as a very large Dinner Plate. It was the biggest Toad I have EVER SEEN!!! We thought it was a snake coiled up at first with big eyes. So there is something down there making "critters" bigger. Especially after seeing that mutant Crawdad starts to make sense now!

That explains it, these fish fight harder because they are constipated. I've seen the same type food forage in Flamingo, Florida that makes the fish there mean as well.

Is there any relation to the nutrients in the soil/ sediment of lakes and the size of Bass? I am new to the forum and use to do studies on antler growth of whitetail deer and found this to be true especially in South Texas! Good question, and ABSOLUTELY! Nutrients inputs are what fuel the entire food web, from zooplankton up to bass! In addition, it's key to remember that every monster bass starts off as a zooplankton eater only millimeters in length. Ensuring that all aspects of the food chain are healthy will assist the health and growth rate of bass. In addition to this, sediments/mineral composition plays a role too. Depending on the make-up of the lake (and watershed) mineral characteristics can alter how nutrients (nitrogen & phosphorus) are taken up into the system. Some systems may have high nutrient inputs, but may be inhibited (or promoted) by the mineral make-up. Keep in mind this, there are many variables that can play a role in fish growth. Nutrient loading and sediment composition are just a couple pieces to the puzzle, but a very important pieces at that!

I would boil a minimum of 200 pots of crawfish a week, 500 a week during lent. I have seen every size color crawfish imagine able, blue, orange, albino red, etc... That said, I can assure you that I have NEVER, and I mean NEVER seen a crawfish that big!!!!!
