I have been fishing kings creek a few times these past few weeks and have been catching 8-10 every outing. I really cant seem to find any special pattern, It just seems that I will catch 3-4 in a row and it will spook the fish then in about 10-15 minutes they will pick up again. I have been catching most in one particular hole that I found last week and have only been able to fish it twice. Once in the morning and once in the evening. Pictures are below. If anyone has any advice on what to do about spooking these fish I will greatly appreciate it.

Those are huge sand bass! Nice report, thanks for sharing! My guess is that those fish are on their way upstream to spawn, you fished in a pool where those fish pause and staging for their next stretch of swimming upstream. Just my .02c.
The pursuit (where are the fish), rigs design and setup, scouting, the awesome feeling of casting your rigs 100+ yards out, the total focus on the fish and the elements, the outdoors... the total exhaustion at the end of your fishing day,... the cooler full of fish to bring home... Yeah, I'm going to miss bank fishing!

There really isn't any current in there that I could tell. Granted I was probably only fishing about 2 miles upstream from the mouth and the bridge is only around a mile. I bet after some warmer weather and a good rain they will be in there thick as hell

Welcome to the Forum TJ_Hughes21!!Kings is an EXCELLENT producer of Crappie & Sandies! I don`t think that you are spooking them I think they are just not in there in the great numbers yet seeing how that the lake is low and the water is not flowing. If you insist that you are spooking them I would suggest maybe you try and downsize your tackle. There is another feeder creek on CC that is hot "rat now"!! as Mr. Ernest Paty would say. It`s the first creek that enters CC under the first 175 bridge. It is a Kayakers & small boaters dream RAT NOW. Jig and Bobber

TJ,
Nice stringer - those fish are on the move.. you are catching them in "bursts" as the school moves thru the area.

I fish around there a lot but haven't made it on Kings yet. I'd love to get in there and wear some crappie fish out!

Lacey looks like the better spot to me...I drove over the bridge and Cedar looks like its not flowing...Kings was turning on a couple weeks ago but the cooler weather backed them off...I caught a monster Hybrid two weeks ago ...anybody wanna see it??? 12 lbs!
My fish is bigger than yours!
