We have a club tourney on Saturday. Been on the lake once. Any help about the bass fishing would be appreciated. Dont need Gps coordinates just ideas on patterns for the lake right now. Spawning, staging etc. Anyone catching fish?

Get a map at the Marina and then run to the dam. As you get to the dam there are good spawning flats to the left all back in that cove. Some good areas where the water goes from 8-15 feet up to 2-5.

Check it out on Yahoo or Google map.

My best advice is use flourocarbon, throw carolina rigs with anything in watermelon. Put your boat up in 2 to 3 feet and throw out or at a 30 to 45 degree angle away from the bank. I've fished this lake in March and April since 1999 and it is by far my favorite. The lake is loaded with bass. I've boated up to 60 fish in April two years ago. Fish every point on the right all the way to the damn, they are all loaded with stumps that will hold fish.

Last weekend caught a lot of fish in 8 to 12 feet of water around moss beds. The areas mentioned above are good spots but the lake is low so watch out for stumps.

Tight lines and God bless.
