I have fished Matagorda on a few occasions but never in the middle of March. Will there still be some bull reds and black drum from surf? Any sharks start showing up at this time? We will be heading down there the 9th through the 16th, and depending on weather and or beach conditions we will hit up either PINS or matagorda, but preferably matagorda. Thanks!

BRs are still in the dirty water, but you probably won't see any sharks just yet.

OMG! I will be there too! I will be camping at the LCRA campsites. Will you be beach fishing or will you be on the pier or jetties? For me i just go to the jetties because the pier is very small. Maybe we can meet up...
Fishing is fun and adictive, but always stay safe. Happy Fishing! How do you add a photo...

Sharks will be there. They won't be in full force but they should be just showing up. I usually start shark fishing Galveston/Surfside in March. Sandbar sharks will be there and probably some bulls too. Good luck!

HuntinForTail, dude thats a cool as name, anywyas thinks for that info, I know its not optimal shark fishihg, but I know they are there pretty much all the time in some sort of fashion. I have never caught a sandbar, only small hammerheads, so I will be happy with any shark that bites the line, and who can resist those reds! Cant wait! I will post a trip report soon, thanks guys for the advice
