I recently purchased a orra sx and the second guide is missing the lining piece that goes inside of the guide. First will this affect the action on the pole or fishing in general? Second, would repairing it affect the action or fishing in general. Third, can any one suggest a good repair shop?

where are you located? if you are in houston i could do it for you, and no i wouldn't affect anything about the rod, you just cut the thread and wrap on a whole new guide

I am a part time custom rod builder, Rods By Chris. I specialize in fly rods, but just down right enjoy building custom fishing rods. I see each as a piece of art.
