I was browsing on ebay the other day and ran across a brand new in the box Ming Yang czh60, being an occassional impulse buyer i said what the heck i will put down twenty bucks (shipping was only 6.00). Thinking i would get outbidded i didnt pay anymore attention to it only to discover i won the item. The reel arrived today and as stated it was brand new. On the side plate it has a silly little fish face with a red eye but it looks like a decent reel. Does anyone know anything about this reel and is it worth getting a good rod for?

yes, i think pro angler / ming yang are the same thing. get you a pro angler sticker and put it on there and your good to go. you should catch some big fish on there and tell us how you do!

Interesting mark, i have one of the gold pa reels thats held up okay, i think i will compare them side by side. I believe that i had heard that pa and ming yang were the same thing or made by the same company but im not sure if thats true.

I have 4 Ming yang reels and love them been using them for a little over 3 years. the only down side is the screws have a tendency to loosen so make note of that.

I have a ming yang, pro angler reel just like yalls and I have caught a #35 catfish and a few rays, sharks, and the occasional alligator on it but it is not doing too good now. When I try to click it over the handle just spins and I have to push the button a few times to get it to start retrieving. Its one of those things I want to take it apart and screw with it but I may ruin it .

Sounds like you caught a lot of heavy fish with it

I have a couple of the pro angler reels. I have caught a 37,31,20,24,27# blues on them. I have 20# test line and kelp the drag right and they are working great. If you string it with heavy pound test and really winch the fish in with these I'm sure that would do some damage. They ain't bad for the money

I do like my pa and havent had any issues with it, it is spooled with 25 lb big game and my drag is set right so hopefully i will have good luck with this particular ming yang, heck if i get a years use out of it and it craps out im ony out 26 bucks.

I use the cl60a's. Haven't had a problem out of one yet.
