I have the nut off and the prop will not come off! I have banged on the back of it and it wont budge. I also tries to push against the nut before i took it all the way off, no luck their either. At this point i am considering just breaking the prop and buying a new one. Its a minn kota, PLEASE HELP ME!

I am not sure I would break the prop, you might bend or damage the shaft before you get the job done. I am not that familiar with a MinnKota, but do they have any kind of pin holding the prop on? Also, do you have a gear puller you could clamp on it and back it off? Good luck with it.

I have a motorguide so don't know exactly how its on there but mine has a metal pin that sits in a recess on the hub. Could your pin be worn into the plastic there? Maybe you could use a pin or something to wiggle it around and try rocking the prop back and forth to see if it can wiggle off.

Thank you for the ideas. I think im gonna have to take it somewhere. I cant see any pins anywhere and i have turned and wiggled the prop like crazy. I will probably just bang on it a lot harder and see shat happens then take it in if that doesnt work.

cut the prop off and replace the prop. I had the same issue and ended up destroying the troll motor. Cheaper to buy a prop

Why do you need to take it off?
Just leave it there unless you need it off to fix something.

The pin has slid too far to one side....keep wiggling it, it will fall in the right place sooner or later and come right off. Stupid design!

That pin has wedge into the plastic of the prop. Easiest would be to cut the prop out.

What about holding the prop, setting the motor to turn in reverse and turning it on?
