Is it due to the weather, or is the fishing that poor right now? I'm thinking of going later in the week, is anyone finding fish? Plus, once the spawn does begin, do we look at the mouths of the two rivers, or do they also spawn in the creeks?

Fishing is still awesome. Me and Jr. have done 83 trips this year so far. I had my first trip that we didn't catch a limit Saturday morning. And Jr. has had three trips he didn't catch a limit. Still all deadsticking. Just been to busy and tired to post. Most trips are like yesterday. We tossed back 30+ overs. The biggest yesterday was 14 lbs. I will say we have not been pulling as many double digit fish the last three weeks.

Glad to hear it is still doing well because I am trying to make a trip up there on Sunday. Are they chasing baits yet or do I need to stick with deadsticking? I need to stop by the Tackle Box and get me some of the blue/white Texoma Slabs that RSR is stocking there.

If my boat makes it out of the shop I'm also on the chase again this weekend. Checked on my boat that I dropped off last Tuesday, and was told that it wasn't quite ready. I say, so I guess you noticed that I forgot to leave the key with you. He says no, I really haven't even touched it yet. Lol. It kills me to be on the sidelines while dead sticking is still working.

So where did you leave the key???? I would have been a little hot for being lied to.

I love the guy's work but it takes him forever to finish. Seems to me like all marine repair companies around Texoma are understaffed. Here is how to make more money. Hire 2 or 3 guys to knock out the little piddly stuff every day and churn that, and then 1 or 2 to do the big stuff that takes forever. Both places that I've used, if you need a water pump and the guy ahead of you needs a rebuild, they work on the boats in order. That's crazy.

Most of the guides post on Six Old Geezers.com They have been catching lots of fish both north and south. Give the site a look and you will get some good info.. Most of the guides post really good info about their trips and that will give you a start. Texoma guides as a whole are very helpful.
