welcome to the forum...well now that you ask...just watch the posts below the responses...hand tied jigs and soft plastics that are hand made by people that love to crappie fish...and are a mite particular about what they fish with...so far, I have had success and can recommend the following Jigum Jigs (any thing he makes), Lights out Tackle thump buddies, and slab bandits...Expecting more products to arrive, which, I will test...BUT I am liking those Thump buddies the more I use them...and those Jigum Jigs have been working well also...Haven't had the opportunity to try the slab bandits but a couple of times..and haven't really learned how to use them as others have, but they will produce regardless...I used to rely on Southern Pro and Mr. Crappie products...but have gone to the aforementioned stuff...cause they just plain catch crappie! Good luck and good fishing.

actually jigged last night for the first time, the fellas out there at lewisville barge are good guys, took the time to teach me , and caught my first crappie jigging. Made my night. Even in then crazy cold wind

Even in then crazy cold wind Fantastic! you will eventually become "hooked" on crappie fishing...and you will spend the rest of your life learning and re-learning different presentations and how to jig!!!!
