No doubt Trout play a large role, but it's more about climate, climate and climate.

lay her eggs with a broke jaw, after that jackleg is holding her like that.

If everyone focused on the important things in life, then there would be a shortage of fishing poles.

I would have had a big brown stain in pants when I finally landed her.

Most every bass is lipped to bring in boat...this is a monster bass and this guy caught a dream fish! Don't turn this into some stupid azz broke jaw thread! I can assure you most people wouldn't have released it in public waters....also I'd bet if this fish was weighed on certified scales it would be bigger than 17 lbs! What a giant!

I just saw some other pics of this hog on another site, but with these I can now see by the background it was definitely caught on my screen-name namesake lake over in Chula Vista where I grew up, about an hour south from me now- Otay Lake.

My biggest there is only 8 1/4, caught on a Rebel popper (http://www.rebellures.com/) when I was a young'n of only 18, but I've taught friends that have caught 'em over 10 there! bang

Congrats Mike.
