Leaving Friday for El Salto with 10 of our members on Friday. Looking forward to spending time at Ron Speed Jr's place again this year. Always a great time when its 80 degrees and the fish are biting. Going again in June with another member group for some of those deep water fish. I have not fished in the summer, but I understand if you can take the heat, the fishing can even better than the spring.

Are you going too? Now I'm really jealous. I thought you were anti-Mexico for some reason. I mean..... They don't produce too many 15+ pound fish! (How's that for hatin') nannyboo bolt

Shad colors make long cast sink to bottom and slowly crank back... if they miss drop the bait and start reelsing again...

What part of the lake produces best this time of year? Salex check out the crankbait bite. Someone told me it should be getting close to it.

Ole David Rosenquist. Call him Rosie.

Talked to Ron and the fishing is slow, Catching 35 to 50 a day per boat. But the size is good. A 12 was caught by JW Peterson a couple of days ago and lots of 8+ plus fish are being caught. Average size way up but average catch days are way down. The wind is all over the place, one day out of the North the next out of the West and the next out of the South. We need a few days in a row of south wind.
