I think i have seen some of yall post about this before, but i am curious. Have any of yall actually catfished in an area you were white-bass/crappie fishing during the spawn? And if so, did you have more luck with bigger cats? or does the spawn of these "smaller" fish influence the opportunity to catch a large/trophy cat in those areas? I am curious as i am planning on doing some white bass and crappie fishing once the weather allows their spawn to get kicked into high gear and i was wondering about catfishing at night while fishing for whites and crappies. Should i use whole live perch or dead cut bait or a bleeding baitfish?

We fished marshall creek last year during the white bass spawn, and in 2 days caught probably 30 blues between 2 and 10 lbs a couple low teens and a 22 and 28. Gunna dp it again this year if we get enough rain.

If you just happened to have some live perch you might accidently come across a little bitty flathead or two!!!!

I manage pretty easily, but I do know some people who have trouble.I guess it basically comes down to knowledge.
