Im looking at the Hummingbird 858C. what is the best one for the money? Looking around 1,000 to spend? does Lorance beat out the hummingbird?

I just got a 858c HD DI for the bow of my boat- I've gotten it connected to a 997c thru a Interlink to share waypoints. So far I love it.

If your looking for one with side imaging, you can probably pick up a used 997 for around 1000.If your wanting a new unit and can live with the DI only, I'd say the 858c is the way to go.

Check with Dave at Shut up and Fish. Hes on the TFF and he has his stuff priced way below most others.

You cant go wrong with lowrance but personal know how will have more to do with it then witch one you go with both or good units but i like lowrance better and ive been using their unit before side imaging

love my hummers, if you can swing it, a 998 has a lot better resolution and is easier to see.

lowrance hds 7 bundle with $300 rebate. I'm waiting on Shut up $ fish to give me a price. Gonna be right at $1000-$1100 I'm guesing

Lowrance hands down I have an 8 and a 7 and wouldn't trade them for birds plus boot.
