Guess if I was just gonna catch one, this was a good one. This one was on brush in 26 FOW. Couldn't get another bite there. Went stumping, then threw a crappie thunder through hydrilla, then tried some shallow brush. Nothing else. Don't know what's going on. Water temp was 56 degrees. Wind was strong out of the East.

Crappie slime beats skunk every day. Glad you felt well enough to go chase them today.

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

One nice crappie is better than a sharp stick in the eye!

It was so nice on the lake. No DUST! Nose didn't run, didn't sneeze, and didn't even cough once!

It happens that way sometimes..... even to the best, but most won't post when they are having a bad day!
It's best to be humble, move on and be thankful for a wonderful day..... just as you did!

I'm always in a good mood when I'm fishing.

We fished Saturday at CC, shot docks & fished brush 10-20' deep. One Crappie to show for it.

Jacob, I had a lucky horseshoe yesterday...caught the crappie suspended in 12FOW in/under a large school of baitfish..bottom depth was 22 ft...no structure anywhere around....in a place I have never fished before on a lake I fish alot....just trying to duck the wind...Go figure...In fact, I haven't fished structure much this year...concentrating on large schools of baitfish...might give that a try...

Winds out of the east fishing the least.....don't pay attention attention to that because somewhere, somehow, someone is catching them.

To Koobycrappies point....sometime when me and the friends fish, a good day is to get the skunk off....you learn every time out on the water and the tough days make you a better fisherman.

Sometimes me and my friends consider it a good day when not only do we get the skunk off but we actually catch the targeted species.
