Lake Lewisville Flathead Catfish
Customers caught another big flathead yesterday on Lewisville. This one weighed 42 lbs. and was released for some lucky angler to catch again some day. He put up one heck of a fight! Rod slammed down and instantly began peeling drag. The fish took Darrell around the anchor rope two different times. The second time it made 4 wraps before I was able to clear it loose. As soon as we got the fish in the net, the 50 lb leader snapped several inches above the hook. Probably got down around the anchor at one point during the fight. I'm going to enjoy a day off today with family. I have some extra bait left from yesterday for anyone that may need it.
