Dad and I are headed up to Davy Crocket in a couple of weeks and I was wondering if there were any DIY rod holders to put on the side of the kayak. I cant have them in the back, because that's where my GoPro is going to be. I need them out of the way and secure. Any YouTube videos or pm me some instructions would be great. Thanks!

Go visit Mike at Mariner Sails. I was in last week and saw an alternative rod holders made by Hobie that looks like it would work for your application. Here is some pictures... I like this option. It is very reasonable at about $20 for each set. I have not tried it myself but I'm sure there are some guys on here that have and might share some feedback... Adrian

all you really need is some bungee and some hooks and put it in place where the bungee stretches over the rod and then hooks onto the hook. look at Jackson rod stagers.

I would find away to loose my rod with that setup.
