Alright I had account on here and forgot my username and password , anyways I just moved from fort hood to Colorado and if you know there really is no bass or other types of warm water fish , there's trout here pretty much and I'm looking to buy a decent ultralight rod for around $40 until August when I can buy a really nice trout setup , I was looking into Berkley Trout Dough UL rod 6'6" ? I also bought a Pfluger Trion GX-7 , if anyone's used that just let me know how you like it.

I havent used those myself but the best UL rod I ever had I bought from Walmart for $20. Ended up buying a 2nd one shortly after the first cause it worked so great for me. Took me 10 years but finally broke the 2nd one and cant find them anymore. Wana say they were Shakespear tho.

The Berkley Trout Dough UL is a glass rod that is not nearly as sensitive as a graphite rod. My favorite UL rods are the Bass Pro Micro Lite Graphite rods. They are a little more than $40 normally, but when they are on sale, can be had for around that price.

Are you in Ft. Carson? There is pretty good warm water fishing in Peublo (south of Carson) and out to the east. I'm supposed to PCS that way in July.

Ugly Stik. Love those rods. Got 2 UL, one was a W-M special w/reel, other got at BPro.

That's a glass rod, too. The $20 one. If its the same one I'm thinking of. A yellow rod.

I have a couple of the shakespear micrographite rods from Wally World. They're great for the money.

And Joe D - I know exactly how you know that but don't ask how I know.

BPS Crappie Max combo, I know its made for crappie but I do use it for trout and had no problems. Sensitive, light, and has a great backbone just in case you hook a big one. Not bad for 40.00 but got mine for 24.00 when it went on sale. Good Luck!
