People fish it all the time. That is the East Fork Trinity River. I think the parking is off limits, but I see people down there all the time. I know Tarponfly fishes there and could offer more advice on it.

If you walk towards Ray hubbard there are some Awesome holes that hold Crappie and Sandies year round!

not many make it past the toll road.

none did last yr as they had it to where nothing could pass upstream.

the fishing is happening south of the 66 bridge now. one warm rain and they will be all of the way to tollway

Set the hook..... It's free.

Good info guys thanks. Most of the time i'm in a kayak so I was thinking about going to the spill way but didn't know if it was roped off or something.

lavon spillway? there are some native fish at the spillway... they need to be releasing water to bring in the fish. not likely to happen.

hubbard spillway is off limits

They are draining the river between Lavon Dam and the spillway at Hwy. 78 so that they can put in the new water line to the new water treatment plant. The line will apparently run underground right next to the spillway. Whether they plan on saving the fish that are in the river I do not know.
