My boat is torn apart for reflooring and expanding deck. I wanna wet a hook bad and so does my boy so I'm looking for any help on where to try. Any fish is fine we fish for crappie sandies cats and blacks. We live by lake of the pines but I'm familiar with all the lakes within an here and some creeks. I'm just look for better odds since I haven't been anywhere in months. He's a die hard like me so he don't care if we zero I just wanna give us a chance.

I'm not too familiar with that area but I would go to your local outdoors store and talk to some guys who know the water better than you do, or just go with trial and error and youll learn a lot more that way and may even find some amazing secret holes!

TP&W hatchery at lake athens they even furnish everything. the tank has many big fish. and just a trip thru the facilities and museum is well worth the trip. it should be less than an hour from you. If you've never been there you have to check it out.

Purtis Creek State Park. Fish off the piers or from the banks.

+1 on Purtis creek. Big bass in there, and some pretty large perch too. *edit* Not to mention, it's very close to the fishery center, so if nothin's bitin, you could always go feed the big ol catfish

Purtis Creek would be my first choice, Tyler State Park would be #2.
