That lure seems to get more posting hits than bass hits, so drop it in the title. I have a serious question about bass fishin.

Last spring I found two DD's on beds about 10 feet apart from each other. The area they were beded up in has a very narrow channel they must pass to get into that pool.

I mapped out the drop/point where they will likely stage before moving into that spawning area again this year. (Its ideal...they will be back)

How would I best spend my time while fishing that staging area?

Keep in mind these are 10lb+ fish.

The water is clear, the drop goes from 7 feet to 10 at the end of the last point before the "cut" to move into the spawning pool.

The pond is small about 12 acres. Has sunfish and some shad as well as crawfish and crappies, and lots of snakes ha ha

That was my thought. Texas rig it? Maybe a downsized C-rig with a BIG lizard?

Its such a small spot I dont want to go throwing rattle traps in there and upset them or alert them. These are BIG fish.

First, PM me the GPS coordinates of the location you found them. If you do not have the coordinates, PM a description of the area
where you located the bass.

T-rig lizard, weightless fluke or wacky worm is what I would do.

BIG lizard, centipede, wieghtless senko or fluke, and a SLOW rolled swimbait. If the water is right i might try a jerk bait.

Well, if it was me and I had the time I would wait until they spawn and catch them on the bed- that's your best chance. Otherwise weightless or light tx rig senko type bait watermelon very very slowly in channel and on staging spot. Afternoon best time.
I would be glad to come help you catch them off the bed- lol- but seriously.

Suspending jerkbait, vibrating jig, slow rolled spinnerbaits, power shot.
