Fellas, I am a bass fisherman but came across a fly fishing pole and I know nothing about it. Just from a little searching I came to the conclusion it is worth about 150.00. Is this correct? If so I will sell it for 115.00. It has never been used. In a plastic tube and vinyl cover. Orvis Clearwater graphite rod. Model 865.. 8' 6" two PC.

the 865 designation likely means it is (as you already said) 8' 6" with the 5 being rated weight of line it is intended to be used with, 2 piece rods are generally lower end ,while 4 piece are represent the mid to upper end of the market, therefore a Clearwater (this is Orvis bottom line model) while new from an Orvis shop may run 150 dolla, from a private indivdual I would expect to pay no more than 100 if that.

Gentlemen...one does not fly fish with a "pole"...it is a "rod"...heh heh..couldn't resist.. 
In this life there is fly fishing and tying...and then there is all that other stuff in between that doesn't matter.

Well it's for sale. Send me a pm if you would like to come get it in DFW. I live in boyd but work in metro mess. 85 dollars no more no less. Again, it has never been used.

Are yo close to Austin, San Antonio, or Houston? I work in the freight biz and can shp it to one of those southern terminals.

$85 is a decent price. These were going on clearance last year at orvis for about $95. Maybe getting rid of the 2 pice models in the line?
