Has anyone tried the 4.5 ft or 6.5 ft rods from Pro Angler? I am fixing to replace my old 12 ft B&M jig pole with one of theirs and was thinking about ordering either the 4.5 and/or the 6.5 for casting/dock shooting. Any info is appreciated!

I have one of the 4.5 ft rods and it works great for shooting docks. I also own several of the 8ft rods and love those as well.

I recently purchased the 4.5 for shooting docks and have yet to use it but am anxious.

I also purchased two 8' rods . I like the feel of the rods and need to put them to good use.

Good people and great product/customer service.

The 6.5 will shoot docks just fine, but you'll have to adjust your flip/release some. If you want the rod for combination casting and dock shooting, and maybe doing more casting, I'd get the 6.5.

I hope Ed has some 10's and 8's in cork handles at the CAT meeting Sunday. Need me a new shallow water rod for the spawn.

Got 4 of the 4.5 foot rods. There are great. I don't do any dock casting so can't help ya there. Maybe someone else will chime in on the dock casting.
