I couldn't help but notice all the new RIDE owners so I figured I would start up a new thread on how to rig there sweet @$$ RIDES... I know there are plenty of RIDE owners on here already so lets help inspire our new Wilderness Brothers. Please join in with pics and how to's. I will start with some pics of my setup...
This shows my Lowrance DSI on a homemade sideboard with a MadFrog TDA ( on the opposite side you can see a RAM 2007 Rod holder mounted to the built in Gear Track

How it looks from my point of view on the water...

Not my pic but a great idea for setting up a permanent transducer

Rod storage without my crate using 4"Gear Trac from YakAttack, Scotty 438 Gear head and Cabela's QuickDraw rod holders

I thought this would be a way to store rods when in the creeks to avoid catching limb or also to troll

Ready for the water with all the gear...

Close up of YakAttack Visicarbon Pro on 4" Gear Trac

Ready to Drift for Big Blues

Okay enough of the rigging, I have to say since I have had my Kayak I have caught more quality fish than off the bank my entire life. Here are just a few pics from this year...

Yes I've noticed the popularity of the Ride explode too. I think it's because it offers so much of what a kayak fisherman is looking for. I'm about to head off to work, but I'll post pictures when I get back home.

Thanks... Who knows, I might actually figure out how to catch big stripes and cats some day... Thanks for leaving a few good ones and their offspring for the future of the fishery... thumb

I too have the new Ride 135, but have really kept it simple. The Ride 135 just seems to offer a great balance of stability, efficiency, capacity, and features that really appealed to me. I think it's one of the best all-around kayaks ever designed.

The number of prefabricated screw holes and the track system really reduces the number of holes you need to drill in it. If you don't have a rudder system, you can use the rudder screws on the rear and the paddle holder in the front of the kayak to secure your anchor trolley.

If you need more of the rectangular nuts that go in the track system, they're extremely easy to fabricate. Home Depot sells a 4' section of 3/4" aluminum that you can cut into 1 inch sections. Drill and tap them to quarter twenty and you have 48 nuts for less than you can get 4 of them.

Love the "crateless" rod holders...how is that working out for you? I can see some great applications to the Commander rearwell as well. Are you aware of a difference in the range of motion of the Cabelas holders vs the Scotty Rodmaster II?
