Can't seem to make a decision on which Lake map chips I will like best for my new Hummingbirds so I think I may buy both the Navionics Hot Map Platinum and the new version Lake Master. My question is this, if I am using a 898cHD SI on trolling motor and a 998sHD SI at console, is there any reason to buy a chip for both locations? That would require me to buy 4 map chips total. Is there any benefit to doing that or will most of my map use be at the console?I want to get what I need, just wonder if that would be overkill and I can save my money for other equipment as we gear up for spring. What say you?

I say with two units buy one of each. Try them out and see what best fits your needs. Then if you feel the need to match them you'll only have to buy a third map card. I run 2 different kinds in my lowrances as the fishing hot spots covers stream channels better than navionics.

I would recommend the same try both and if one suits your needs better then you can a second version of it.
