One of my best days was on the coldest snow/sleet day of the year. Didn't catch huge numbers but the fish I did catch where toads! So cold and stiff I could barely set the hook.

Also the only boat on the lake lol.

My understanding is when it snows the barometric pressure drops and they go shallow?

I fished a tournament on Toledo Bend in 07 and it snowed and the wind blew about 20/25mph....that day took FOREVER! The bad part is we only put 3 fish in the boat the whole day....wasn't a fun day.

Hot Water Lakes don't count, I've had some great days back in the day on Monticello with ice and snow everywhere, temp. 17 degrees, but the water temp was in the 70s, not going to be like that on Grand Lake. Keith

When you have to dip your rod in the water to de ice the guides, and ice is shavin of your line going in the reel it's cold. Been there done that several times have even done well in it.
