BTW, Richie (hoggwilde) will be back in 3 months ...or a little less. Doing some "military time" still. National Guard.

I spent a good portion of Tuesday evening fixing up jigs and gear. Have any of you-all had problems with cheap feather jigs coming apart before you even get them in the water?.. The last few dozen I've bought are of such poor quality that I resorted to re-tying them and coating them with superglue.. I like to get at least a couple of casts per jig before they fall apart frown I just might start tying my own from scratch if I can't find better quality jigs then these...

Looks like fishing will be good this weekend. How deep is the creek now? Can boats get into it?

Regular boats no... not without a lot of effort and prior knowledge about exactly where the channel is. Kayaks, canoes and mud buggies are about all you can get up the Yegua when the lake is at the current level.. 236.28 1.72 feet low. The Yegua is barely flowing and not enough to make much happen with the whitebass but the crappie & catfish fishing should be fair to good.

Got it. No embarrassing pics from this Fri. trip was posted? Whew... I'll admit that I had the smallest fish that trip. I was taught humility at an early age....and have rebelled against it ever since.
Thanks Ryan
