I am looking for a reasonable boat service shop in the Lewisville or Denton area. Can any of you guys recommend a good shop or an individual that does tune-ups and repair? Just don't want to get ripped off. Also willing to drop off in the DFW area if service is good.

Thanks a Lot

Rockwall Marine is hard to beat in any category. You could take 190 and it would save some time on the drive. Bob

Rockwall Marine is the only way to go --even if it is out of your way.

Lil Jig, I have had real good luck with Alliance Boating Center in Roanoke. Stan has always been honest with me and has done a great job with my older boat. I don't know that he is any cheaper than the next shop but very reliable. http://www.allianceboating.com

I would say Rockwell Marine because Tommy Yetts that work there is a TFF member and he is always trying to help on this site. You might look up his e-mail on the motor section and give him a try before you take it somewhere else.

Thanks a lot guys for the replies. I fell a bit better now. I called Rockwall Marine and Lake Park Marine and they both were real helpfull with motor questions. Now I guess I will flip a coin to see which one I try first.

Just wanted to say thanks again.

If you haven't already made your decision I too would suggest Rockwall Marine. Tommy Yetts and Glen that works with him have been together a long time and have worked on my boats for the last 10+ years and you don't have to put up with any bull or worry that someone is going to tell you need something done even if you don't. My brother had a problem back in the summer and was expecting a big time bill for repair. Tommy diagnosed what happened, explained what it was and one quick NO CHARGE adjustment later he was on his way. You can't do any better than to deal with someone who is honest and good people.
