Will be headed to Falcon for some fun in the sun in 6 days.
Can't wait. Hope you guys haven't caught 'em all before I get there. Got most of the lures tied on and ready. Seemed a little light on tackle...so new Kistler in the mail to me tomorrow. Will add Invisix to Curado and put together hopefully Thursday. Oh man, it's gonna be good! Got the cigars and bourbon packed. Anybody down that way next week that sees a dirty red dodge truck at the State Park, feel free to stop by and pull up a chair.

PS--The plankton hat is not mine. cheers

Good luck ToadSnatcher. Glad you made it in.
There is now a 3 boat limit on Falcon, so make sure you tell everyone else it's all full up now... thumb

Good luck..... I fished Friday the 15 and caught 2. That's right two from 7 to 6. My buddy boated 4 or 5 on Friday and only 3 on Saturday.

These little fronts have got the fish in lock jaw mode it think. If you can hit them on the 4th day after a front they may bite for you. We fished deep, shallow and threw the box at them.

I hope to be back down there first of March. Good luck! The water looked ok on the south end but not as clear as I have seen it before. Vis about 2 ft with 63 to 65 temps. Hope this helps.

Got the major boat food groups covered now.
I'll try to post pics and weights for big fish each day.
Now don't y'all go stealing my secret weapon for this trip; the whacky rigged banjo minnow is all mine. sarcastic

Just watch the weather, if you go during a big front you would be better to reschedule if possible. We went about three weeks ago after several days of nice weather. The bite really got good and then a front came thru. After that we couldn't hardly buy a bite.

Got to Falcon Saturday caught 4 between 6 of us, which was more than everyone else we talked to. Fished Sunday without a bite.
Left and went to Amistad. It's 50 ft low, but we still caught fish.
I've been to Falcon 3 times and this was by far the worst!
Oh and the other 4 with us didn't follow us to Amistad, they drove 11 hours back home.
