I have tried them all. Liver, worms, King bros., Catfish Charlie, Sonnys, J Pigg, CJ's and several more. The most consistent baits for me are Big Marv's and Sure Shot. I don't think you could go wrong with either, but Marv's has a slight edge over the rest.

hhmmm.. i didnt know the channel cats quit biting.. my son and I put a bunch on the boat two weekends ago fishing about 18-24 ft. of water on Pines.
The only catfish bait I ever use is plain old Bar S hotdog weenies sliced up and doused with a heaping tablespoon of garlic and a package of strawberry kool-aid.
When we get to a fishing hole, I usually drop a coffee can full of cheap horse feed over the edge and wait about 10 minutes.
Here kitty kitty kitty........
