When we were sharing how we fished at Lake Livingston this weekend, we failed to mention that we used LFT's live baby shad while trolling in the shallower waters. The color didn't matter really - the fish would not leave them alone! We put them on 1/8th oz Roadrunner heads. That seemed to be the trick! What a great product Ronnie and Anne make!! Thanks LFT!!!

Ditto! I love LFT. Good baits for sure.

I like the design on the LFT shad, I just wish it was made of a little tougher plastic. A sunfish bights the tail, I set the hook, and more times than not, I bring up half a jig.

I have that issue with all of our plastics when it comes to the sunfish!! We never had to change out a Baby Shad this weekend, and we caught some nice sized crappie! They seemed to really like the movement on these baits.

No - the boot tail and the sickle tail are in production as we speak. Can't wait to try those out soon! They both will give the bait a different movement - bet the crappie won't be able to leave them alone!!

I have the same problem LFT baits. I like the movement of the bait due to the soft texture. But with that same soft texture comes less catches per bait. I do good to catch 2-3 fish before bait is torn completely up. It has forced me to give up on LFT & Bobby Garland Baits. Slab Bandit and Thump Buddies are all I use anymore. I fished LFT for a couple years, but had to change. Is LST changing the texture of these New Designs Baits ? ? ? Keith

I'm not sure, but personally, I hope not. There is a trade off and a balance with everything. Softer baits tear easier but have more action. Harder baits last longer but have less action. I like the balance on the Live Baby Shad, but it's just a personal preference.

What a wonderful problem to have. Catching 3 Crappie on one bait and with all those baits in one package. Sounds like a HUGE fish fry in every bag. Sign me up for those "problems."

A little dab of superglue between the body and jighead makes a LOT of difference in longevity of the LFT Baby Shad. What tears it up is sliding up and down the hook. Common sense says it will last longer if that doesn't happen and I can testify to that as a fact.
