Sure you can if your policy is written as an agreed value policy.

I had thieves try and still a 40 HP motor off back of one of my boats,,
He had it unbolted, Fuel lines off,Steering off and battey unhooked,, Don't know if we came home and messed his plan up or what,
But he left his tools behind and all that was there was a 6 inch Needle Nose pilers and a 6 inch set of Vise Grips also Needle nose.. He wanted that motor bad to fight with those bolts with those kind of tools.

Point is its something to look at,, If they think they can make a few bucks off a Power Pole they will unbolt the few bots and cut the Hoses if need be.. Just my 2 cent

Agreed value is only for boat. On a boat policy typically you hv separate endorsement for accessories. There is no endorsement for power poles.

I think a pp without a pump would be a hard sell , not easy to move. So i doubt it would be a sought after theft item. And I doubt they use a ratchet to get the bolts off.

You have to have a stated value for your entire rig for good insurance to actually cover add ons. There are ways to get "equipment" covered. Electronics, powerpole, and everything else. Some people run old boats, but insure them for more than the actual boat is worth to try and help cover the equipment. Also have current pictures of EVERYTHING just in case. They come in hand for the haggeling process when you go to your insurance company. Just have good insurance for you entire rig! I now know from expierence

I would drop that ins company asap!!! mine is covered and has been since day one,,get a ins company that does fishing not just cars and hey we will cover your boat too not knowing anything about your boat.

Not overly worried about it just asking. I will have this boat insured by end of day tomorrow. I think I will look into some type of looking nut as a deterrent, just looks like a easy target to me and more appealing than some of the other items that were mentioned. Thx for your thoughts.
