We for a drive around Aquilla today...cruised to aquilla creek, lake water level is too low to run into the creek, went to schoolhouse boat ramp...walked the north cove dropped some jigs, NADA, went to 1534 bridge access point several cat fisherman with a couple/few fish...fished the rocks and first bridge poles, ZIPPO, eased around to dairy hill...no real reason to fish bare bank and shallow water...so I did the next best thing, came home and got on the forum....may try to get the boat on the water (after I get that new sonar unit on it and cruise the deeper holes at the dam and dairy hill bridge...see what is hanging out...MY ASSESSMENT..go find a lake with more water....and get jiggy!

I would probably wait until they are back in the brush piles unless your close to the lake. smile

My guess is that they are in transition. Got a fishing buddy who might go out tomorrow if the wind lays down. May have a report in the evening.

yep, not enough water to mess with...add to that the the lake level is too low to reach the mouth of the creek...probably not enough fish to even try...

Bite is slow at Aquilla. Before this last cold front hit, I was catching a few in 14 feet of water at night under lights. Ever since the cold front I can't get a bite. I hear they are catching a few crappie at Lake Waco.
