Are the co anglers randomly selected like FLW? I keep reading where people are "looking for a co angler". Anyone fish bfl as a co angler to help explain

sign up w a boater at same time your garunteed to be "ENTERED" in the tournament, you will still be "randomly" paired with a boater, not necessarily the one you "linked" with

no, just a guaranteed spot, totally random draw.

For the BFL it's not that big of a deal if you don't have a guarantee link. Bfl draws more coanglers than boaters normally. Boaters are have been pretty much guaranteed for years.
Link to help a coangler get in the tourney... It's way harder for them.

There are probably 20 or more co-anglers on the waiting list for the Toledo Bend tournament and 20 boaters who are in but are not paired with a co. If they were paired up those Co-anglers would be in. For the boaters it keeps you from having to split the boat with another boater. It doesn't happen to often but it has.

You should give the BFL some thought. Great trail, with a no entry fee regional where the winning boater takes home a new Chevy truck and Ranger boat and the winning co angler takes home a new Ranger boat. And the top 6 from regionals go to the ALL American where everyone gets a check and they supply you a fully rigged Ranger.
