And I didn't catch a single thing. But I still had a great time today at Lake Raven. The wind beat me up pretty bad but I could see this kayaking thing turning into an addiction. I'm already looking forward to going somewhere next weekend.

Awesome bro! I didn't catch a fish til my third trip so don't sweat it. Got to get in the kayak fishing mindset, the strategy is different than bank fishing. I've never gotten skunked on it and thought "man I shoulda just stayed home." A day on the water is a good day! I too find myself daydreaming about the next trip, haha. Just gave mine a bath. The creek had her covered in mud. Glad you enjoyed the first trip bud!

I took these pics with my iPhone. I haven't seen any of the monster gators in there yet. I hope I never do. I'm already on edge when fishing there. And as for being new to fishing from a yak, I grew up fishing out of a two man bass buster so this isn't much different. My dad and I still fish out of that bass buster.

Nice pictures. Have not been on Raven in about ten years and that was for a canoe rendezvous put on by the Houston canoe club. Them gaters were slappin tails and scarin' boaters here and there. Bet they are bigger now. Need to get back down there and try yak fishing. Thanks again for the pictures.
